1.06	SYSTEM PERFORMANCE

Use this article carefully, restrict descriptions to total system parameters, performance, or

 design requirements as indicated by Wonder Metals Corporation performance data.

	A.  Installed louver to permit passage of air velocity of (_____) ft/min. without blade

	 vibration or noise with maximum static pressure loss of (_____) inches measured at

	 (_____) ft/min.

	B.  Fabricate louver to permit (_____) percent free area.  Based on 48" x 48" louver

	 size.

1.07	SUBMITTALS

	A.  Submit shop drawings (and product data) under provisions of Section (01300.) (01340.)

	 head, jamb, and sill details; blade configurations; screening; and frames.

	C.  Provide product data on pre-assembled louvers describing design

	E.  Submit two samples 4" x 4" in size illustrating finish and color for exterior finish.

PART 3:   EXECUTION

3.01	PREPARATION

A.  Verify that prepared openings (and flashing) are ready to receive work and opening

 dimensions are as (indicated on shop drawings)  (instructed by the manufacturer).

B.  (Verify that proper power supply is available for power operated louvers).

C.  Beginning of installation means acceptance of existing conditions.

3.02	INSTALLATION

A.  Install louver assembly in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

B.  Install louvers level and plumb.

C.  Secure louvers in opening framing with (concealed)  (exposed) fasteners.

D.  Install flashings and align louver assembly to ensure moisture shed from flashings and

 diversion of moisture to exterior.

Identify where bird and insect screens are to be placed:  Interior or exterior.  Usually insect

 screens are installed on intake louvers and bird screen on exhaust louvers.  Do not install

 insect screens on HVAC intake louvers

E.  Install (Bird) (and) (Insect) screening to (Exterior) (Interior) of louver.

F.  Install insect screens to (Intake) (Exhaust)  louvers.  Install bird screens to (Exhaust) 

 (Intake) louvers.

G.  Install perimeter sealant (and backing rod) in accordance with Section 07900.

3.03	ADJUSTING / CLEANING

A. (Adjust operable louvers for freedom of movement)  (with actual control)  (lubricate

 operating joints).

B. Clean surfaces and components.
